How far can you ride on a full tank of gas?

Here's what I did today. I gassed up my 01 Mojave, strapped some extra gas to it, reset my GPS unit to "0" and took off from home. BTW: It was 113deg when I left at 10:30am!
I rode 38.3 miles to a restaurant out in the boonies. According to my GPS I averaged 34mph to here. I'd say 90% of my ride was in 5th gear. I had lunch and headed back towards home.
I took a different way home, smaller trails and more whoops. At 72.7 miles I had to switch to Reserve. At 80.1 miles it began to sputtter and I knew my gas was limited. I began to ride on 2 wheels and swerve to get the gas to reach the pickup tube.
I finally ran out of gas at 83.4 miles total. I averaged 29mph for this run which is still mostly 5th gear trails.
I dumped in my spare gas and rode to the nearest gas station then home. A total of 97.3 miles.
I saw some great scenery but I must say that riding across a dry lake in the Mojave desert has got to be the hottest I have ever been!
