Hello fellows wondered if anybody has made or know where you can buy fender extensions for a Polaris Sportsman. I just put 26x12x12 Blackwaters on the front love the tires but the mud globs are killing me...

Aw, just hack up some old tire casings and pop-rivet the strips onto the fenders, Bill!

Check along the highway; you might find some Firestone treads along the shoulder you could use!

Yes, the mud flares can be made,
I took a ride to the hardware store and bought lawn edging, you know the black heavy plastic 5 - 6" wide and has round piping on the top. Come in a roll of 40 feet for about $15.00. Works great, I put 2" under the fender and 3" out. They hold my 4 bearclaws from burying me.

They're are also available from polaris. They are in the Accesories catalog. If you go to the website below, ther's a picture. I don't see any hardware showing, so maybe they made them so you don't have to put holes in your fenders.

I bought extended mudskirts for my 2000 xpedition 425 cc 5 speed, from my polaris dealer. I paid 150.00 and yes, I think that sounds like a lot. Heck, it took me 5 hours to get the old ones off and the new ones on. I had a hard time popping the rivits as I was carefull not to break my plastics. Then I had to remove the
rear rack to get the access I needed to drill some
new holes. The actual putting them on was easy. It was the misc. tasks that slowed me down. rangerchet
