can you make atvs street legal in ny?
plates sticker ? whats required..... ive een that they are in other states but not ny.....

 

go to dmv n ask... i kno u got to have insurance.. n regirstration, mirrors, blinkers, lights..... pain in the but

 

dude it's worth it just that feeling wen you zip by the cars on the thruway and the looks that you will get wen you pull in to the parkinglot. wen i turn 18 i am definatly going to buy a pred a make it streetlegul!

 

LOL! When someone gets a 4wheeler and intends to make it street legal back home(Im on vacation right now),they get a Raptor,a Banshee,a Yammy450 or a Grizzly...something with streetcred.The only person I know with a Pred is my friends uncles,and its not streetlegal,it just dont got the looks to turn heads,and thats what you wanna be doing if your riding on the road.

To make the answer quick...nope. Not gonna happen in NYS.

 

Call them or email them.....It's different in every state. Here in Vt you cannot make a 4-wheeler street legal, however you can with a 3-wheeler. Bummer.

 

my warrior is street legal all you need is a plate, insurance lights on and a helmet. And dont do anything to give the cops a reason to pull you over. The state troppers dont pull me over.

 

and it has to be a atv road, all of the back roads up here are atv legal, theirs a green sign and it has a pic of a atv letting you know its legal with all the stuff i listed in my 1st post
