Default Which one is right for me?

I am looking into getting a used atv but don't know which to get. I love to go muddin with my friends and but i don't know which will get stuck the least. I am looking into getting either a Kawasaki Prairie 360/400 4x4, Yamaha Big Bear 350/400 4x4, or a Honda Rancher 350 4x4. Help please.

For mudding I'd figure out which one has the most clearence down the middle as that is just about the most important thing with what you are looking at. I'd also look to see which ones have a front diff lock (I think only the Prairie 360). I havn't ridden the Yamahas but I would get the Prarie 360 over a rancher any day as it has more features. We have a 360 and it does very well in the mud.

Ranchers ride like a skateboard and auto shift. Yamaha Big Bers are auto shift. Auto shift qauds stink to ride, in my opinion. I have friendswith ranchers and stuff and when they rode my prairie the first time they became very depressed about their auto shift quad.

The 360 is good.
The P400 has more umph, rides extremely well and is one of the most reliable wuads out there, but I don't think they are that easy to find these days.

On Yami side I would look for a Kodi auto. The Rancher I would go with an ES version and be prepared to beef it up with K&N etc... Also a warn 2x4 selector is nice on the Rancher. My first pick would be the Prairie 400 then the 360.

If muddin is what your looking to do, spend a little extra and get an machine with IRS. More ground clearance the better.

Don't forget to get a good set of mud tires. Stock tires usually $uck in mud & snow.
