Flipped of e-ton 90

Ok...I've read many posts about what size ATV to buy for your kid. The majority of the posts state it all depends on the kid, and how he or she can ride. Boy doiagree with this now. I was giving my nephew who is 8 a ride on an e-ton 90 and a mistakenly let him steer for a bit as he wanted to "do it himself". Well, for no apparent reason he turns sharply on a straight away and off we go onto the grass. My 7 year old daughter and 10 year old boy ride the 90 with no problems..and never, ever had any problems from day 1. They know when they can go fast and when to slow down and how to turn. My nephew has no clue...a smart kid...but obviously no sense of driving.
Bottom line, if your kids don't have any experience riding, be careful what you put them on. Parents should know their kids the best...and many kids just don't know how to drive. Oh yes, totally my fault for letting my nephew steer...I take full responsibility. I just couldn't imagine he would turn so sharply for no reason. He was begging to ride by himself after watching my kids ride, but that wasn't going to happen. I figured giving him a quick ride would make him happy...not again.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!! My son is 6 yrs old and he rides a Polaris Predator 90 full speed with no problem but my buddy tried to put his 8 year old daughter on my son's LT-50 and she didn't make it 200 yards before she tried to go full speed through a turn and rolled it over. She was ok but I guess she thought it would be easy since my son's cousin is barely 4 and he flies around on a Polaris 50 at full speed with no problem. Experience is a big deal when it comes to quads.

I agree. This is the reason I don't let someone else's kid ride my quads. I don't know if they are any good and I have my bikes set up for my kids, i.e. throttle adjusted for their riding ability.

I guess I can't complain then. I have exactly the opposite problem. We have an 8 year old on a Eton Viper 90R, and it is not enough for him. He got his first atv when he was 3. A honda ATC 50, so he knows how to ride. He handles the viper well enough that we ride to gether at high speeds and I don't worry at all about him making the wrong move. He wants to go faster, but I refuse to put him on anything bigger. He is big, 56" tall, and 80lbs, but for his size he isn't very strong physically. I have to explain to him every time we ride why he can't ride my warrior. Kids just don't understand danger until they are bleeding, but I am not willing to see him get hurt just to prove a point.

would you guys recommend the eton viper 90R or the predator 90. I am looking into both of these in the 05' models which both have reverse, taillights, flag and helmet. the predator is only $100 more than the eton so I am leaning more that way. which goes faster and has more reliability for my nephew.
