well mine completely stock except for 22 bearclaws on the rear and 15 tooth front sprocket....... the wheelie was for 4km down the highway i just put her in 3rd gear pull up hard hit throttle and it comes up.......... then once i get her up high in the air i shift into 4th, get the revs up to 7thousand and im good for 4km

it was alot easer to raise it up when i had the stock tires on it, but i just put 20" razr's on it, hoping to get better traction and it seams alot harder now. but then again at my size, me pulling on the handlebars aint going to do to much either.

buhjuh16, remember the shorter swingarm on the new ones.
With my stock swingarm ('02) i was easily pulling 4th gear wheelies in the sand, now with +4 i can only get them in 3rd on blacktop SOMETIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!

where did you go to ride in the sand at? i know LBL doesnt have any. but mine is 100% stock, it will probably help when i get a few things done to it though. cant wait to even put a 15 front sprocket in just to see.

I could never ride wheelies on my 600 dirtbike untill i got the ds and learned the balance point. With that confidence, i can now lift asnd shift gears in a wheelie on teh ds and the dirtbike fairlly eassilly. Been trying for 10 years on teh bike, but either drop the front or wheelie it to far adn bail. The ds was a learning tool to doing wheelies for me. And its all about traction adn balance. If you have a linger rear grab bar, learn to pop it up in first to far so the bar touches the ground and dont let go. (in teh hard dirt) the you will realize you more then likely cant flip backwards.
Then only go back far enough to ballance. After you get that down, its not to hard to ride and shift. As for doing it at 50 MPH? Not me....... Maybe to clear an obstacle in the trails for a few seconds.
But for 200 yards or more at 50mph??? You guys have large gonads!

lol, yea i just realized that it was more like 3.6miles or 5.46km ..... just took gps out a couple days ago and it was 3.6miles i did the wheelie for and it was highway speed because i was behind a truck and he wasnt gaining any on me while i was doing wheelie in 4th gear.
