What position at the line?
#2
my personal favorite is in the middle, nearest the first turn....thats the quickest position imo...the only way ill take the very inside or very outside line is if im late to the line, or if i KNOW for a fact that i can beat 'em....but my greatest holeshot accomplishment was at my last race when i was late to the line and i had to start in the second row...got 7th out of 40-some odd ppl out of the gate...not too shabby!

I like to be as far away from everyone as i can......I like either far end.....honestly, it doesn't matter where I line up, I do the same pretty much everywhere.....I've never been one to stress about the lineup.

Not too shabby at all!! I like inside middle. I haven't raced enough to know what is preffered.
Pleaser, I too, am racing hare scrambles. I am no champ, but I love them! I have to wrestle my DS through some tight stuff! I only weigh 140lbs . It's all I can do to go 3 laps on a 7 mile course in an hour. The champs are doing 5 laps! I am ready to die after the second lap.
My friends like to hang back and let the carnage happen in front of them so they can just go around. I tried that and end up behind slow riders and the top 10 leave me. So I am going for it this season! Ours starts in Sept.
We just had a fun run event and in my class, C, after three laps I was in 1st. ( there wasn't 50% of what usually shows up for a real race I was cooked too. It was HOT and MUGGY! Started at 11:30 am for one hour.
Anyway, I have to go play in this hurricane.
