Default Coolant Leak...

I just bought a new 450, and had a coolant leak when I transported it vertically that I couldn't isolate near the coolant rezevoir. I read something about a "weep hole" leak on the yzfcentral website. I have no idea what that is... can anyone help?

Also, I turned off the fuel peacock and ran it to empty the carb before transporting it vertical. That's still okay to do without damaging things right?

Any other tips on hauling it that way would help. Thanks in advance!

Noob...

Default Coolant Leak...

Some of the early 04's had bad bearings that wore the seals out and then would leak coolant out of the weep hole. Unless when it is just sitting there and it's leaking or when it's running and leaking other wise you don't have a problem. The leak from the reservoir is just from being up on the grab bar and the plug just letting a little coolant out. The rubber cap will let coolant out plus there is a over flow hose that might leak coolant off the reservior.
It's nothing to be worried about.
The gas tank should not leak if the petcock is turned off and the breather hose off the gas cap is up above the gas level in the tank. I have taken the tank off many times it dose not leak unless the petcock is slightly turned on.
