I am a new to the site and I have a 05' arctic cat 500 4x4. I just bouhgt it aug 4. I love it and I already have 50 mile on it. Anyways I just wanted to say hi and ask a couple of questions. Are there any problems that people have been having with the atv's? Also what are some performance mods that can be done easily and cheap to the motor and exhaust?

 

Welcome! Sounds like you have a great machine, those 500's are great, no problems at all. I don't know much about mods, but welcome to the board!

 

If you don't mind me asking, how much in all did you pay for it?

What was the price before and after taxes....I'm looking at getting the exact same machine and was wondering what I'm going to end up spending on it.

HELLRZR, When I bought my 650, I priced the 05 500. ONe dealer would sell it to me for $5995 + freight and tax. Out the door would have been right around 6500 or so. I picked up the 04 650 for the same price from a different dealer and he didnt charge freight.
