Default Twist throttle/Pro Taper questions

Does anyone know if a twist throttle for either a Banshee, or a 400EX would work on a DS? Of course I know the cables won't work, but is there a reason anyone can think of for the assembly to not function properly?
I've got one of each collecting dust, and I'd like to switch over.....
Also, I was just given a brand new Pro Taper handle Bar....without the fat bar adapter. Does anyone know where I could get one of these, and for about how much?
Thanks for the info,
Justin

I see no reason the twist grip shouldnt fit the bar

If its your first time on a twist take it easy in the whoops until you get used to it , I love em and wouldnt use anything else. But plenty of people will give different acounts on them

I have Pro Tapers with a twist throttle and it work perfect. Just make sure when you get it installed you leave alittle play in the throttle so you won't be revving it on every little bump.

I love twist throttles, I've had them on everything but my last Banshee. I'll order up a cable. JMAC650, as far as the Pro Tapers are concerned, did you need a riser to use them, and where did you get your clamp at?

That's right, I'd forgotten about that!!! That's a sweet set up!!! I want a clamp that will put my bars at the same height as the bars I have on now. I talked with a shop here in Tucson, and they only have a riser type clamp for 80.00.....That price makes these free bars, not too free anymore....
Anyways, thanks for the responses!!!
