97' Sport govenor??? where?

Does the 97' Sport 400L have a govenor, if so, how do i shut it off?

The only govenor would be the reverse limiter. If the switch on the tranny is messed up, it can cause it to happen while trying to even go forward. That's about the only thing that comes to my mind right now.

Adjustable throttle position limiter under the throttle housing. Check that.
