whent riding with sandles and my ankle touched the clutch cover. was hotter than crap. burnt a little, anyone elses that hot???

 

dont know that ive trouched it, but i assume because the engines oil is all around the clutch basket (wet clutch) that it would still be pretty hot oil, which would make the case toasty too.

 

thats what i thought but man it was really hot!!!!!!!! my clutch felt like it maybe slipping a little. owell dont know?

 

hmmm i see you have 40% springs already...maybe try 60%? my 60's really arnt THAT hard to pull... and it cleared up my slippage issues.
didnt you just go to stage III? that might be a SMALL reason to cause the clutch to slip...(lol)

 

i did go to a stage 3 and a set of 8 paddle haulers. plus in 5 gear it pulls very hard cant get any speed in 5th with 15t.

 

i can but its not a lot. ya know what i mean. it justs stays around 7000-7300 rpm.

 

do you have more CT sprockets? i ended up running a 14 tooth in the dunes with my 22 sand stars (also to run 3rd gear up the face of sand mountain)

 

i have a 15 16 17. i also can start in 2nd and it just launches! its awsome on the start loooottt better than my old dune runners![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

its cooler that way. plus there was a little water. i was in the river.

 

sounds like it might have some slip to it oh and you could be lean.
