High range is for normall riding and low range is for when you need more low end torque like when your pulling/towing heavy things, that when you go with low. do not do normall riding in low or you will burn up your tranny.

FAStCAT7806, that's unless you have an AC650 with the kawi tranny. Then low gear is for normal riding and high is for soft riding on flat surfaces (according to AC) *chuckle* *chuckle*
