Wondering how much a 1987 Honda 250x is worth. My niegbor is offering it to me for 1200. It been ridden hard. It's rusted. Tires are ok...one has a patch. The engine is running rough right now...carb needs to be cleaned. Is this a good price or is this Quad gonna fall apart in a year or so. I'm just gonna be taking it trail riding every Saturday or so. Thanks!

 

I'd but one like that for $1200 if it starts and moves.

 

The 250x is a reliable machine. I sold my 87' 250X last year for $1600. I rode that machine hard and it never faltered. It had good power with only a supertrapp pipe. Sounds like you found a good deal, if it runs.

 

well i tell you what i have a 87 that is in perfect condtion has hade about 1500 just in engine upgrades and i cant even get 700 out of it maybe its just becouse im here in texas but 1200 is a good deal blue book on one in excelent shape is 800 so 12 is not bad at all

I just rode with a 250x and i was very pleased with how it ran. I mean it didnt come close to the 450r but the one i road with was like mint. The guy doesnt have a spec of dirt or nething on it. Except normal wear from everything. I would say thats a good price!

 

YEA no spec of dirt and in mint like mine, check the pics but any way he said the 1 he was looking at isnt close to mint so i wouldnt pay that much now if its mint its worth a lot more
