Oct. 23 and 24th. ATV's race Saturday the 23rd.

 

pozo, i'm gonna be entering to race in the 4-stroke C 16-24 class, i just ordered my AMA card last night. can i register for the race online, and show my card on race day? i've got tons of questions about the race and how things are gonna work. this would be my frist race, so please excuse my ignorance on procedures. i talked to shawn from SLM, i think you talked to him the other day, and he said that its a closed course race so i don't have to worry about spark arrestors and dedibal levels, is that true? the website said different. thanx for the help.

As long as you have your AMA card it sign-up it will be fine.

Unfortunately one of the consessions we had to make to even be able to hold the race at the SVRA was to have the regular SVRA rules apply. We did figure out a way to get past the spark arrestors but the noise level is still in affect. Like the webpage says, there will not be manditory sound checks for everyone but, if the rangers think your ride is too loud they can spot check it.

thanx, the sheriff only seems to get mad at me when i do 3rd gear wheelies down the beach with my feet on the bars. lol, luckily my bike isn't very loud.

I was at Pismo last weekend and they said they have been sold for camping every weekend this year.
Post was a $248 fine for illegal camping.

No paddle tires allow so I guess I will run my new knobbies.
I have joined AMA again and made my reservations for the weekend. I just need to enter the race but I can not pick at class and maybee you guys can help.
My stats are:
Age 27
Ride Raptor 660
Have raced bikes and was a B in Enduro and Hare Scrambles.

race the ATV 4-stroke B class. or if u haven't raced for a while and want to race an easier class, do the ATV 4-stroke C (25-32) class. if ur bike is stock u could run the ATV 4-stroke stock class as well. the GNCC rule book explains all the classes.
