i have a 330 polaris magnum 2004. it doesnt like to start up easy. it just wants to crank a few times before starting. it runs good after starting. replaced the spark plug and cleaned the air filter. what is the proper procedure for the choke or are all atv different. maybe i just need to find the best way to begin starting it. it is out of warranty so if its a starter will it be costly

 

If it cranks then it is not your starter. I would check the fuel filter also. And, when I did my valve adjustment, it made a huge difference on how my motor started and ran.

 

i hear about valve adjustment but dont have a clue. the atv has about 500 miles now. will i need the sevice dept do this. im not much of a mechanic.

 

Might just need to ajust your fuel screw, at worst maybe change the slow jet.

also would my fuel filter be dirty already. not been through no deep mud. ride it pretty easy. what about idling,could this be adjusted for easier starting. what about the etc on the handlebars, would this need adjustment or reset. thanks where is the fuel filter on my atv thanks
