I built a jump last night (took me 3 hours, used a lawn mowers snow blade!) and I have been jumping around 20 feet landing flat. Its not really scary at these lengths, I wanna go farther.

The reason I dont is because I have a bad rear shock and I dont know if it could handle landing flat, Im gonna build a landing ramp tomorrow and see if that does em any good.

How far have you jumped your trikes? What kinda takeoff and landing?

 

I jump mine very far, almost 30-40 feet.

 

Do you land on flat ground? My goal is 50 feet on a trike. I will need to get my shock rebuilt first [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

The biggest air Ive ever gotten on my 250sx was over a 25 foot double at our local mx track. it was hilarious, i almost crashed big time. I think it would be funny to see people doing freestyle tricks with theyre 3 wheelers

One time at Little Sahara in OK, a group of us were jumping this dune. There was about 6 of us (I was the only one on a trike:confused[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] I was taking the jump in 4th gear and flying pretty good[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img] Well after a little while the approch to the takeoff was getting a little wooped out[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] I was really hammering to look cool when to my astonishment I accidently clicked the 350x into 5th[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] Needless to say I flew further than anyone on a quad and probobly anyone else that weekend! All of my buddies raced up the dune to check out the horrific aftermath... and to their suprise (and mine) I landed it, coming far to close to turning my front forks into lawn darts!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Everyday jumps are around 35ft doubles. Ill try and get some pics here soon. Around here we are not into table tops to much, allthough theyre nice if you come up short. A lot of us around here have our own tracks. The "local" tracks are a good ways away. Im usually riding with bikes, since thats what my cousin and friends have got, Im always trying to step it up a notch.

 

Hey deathman I touched the 38 ft mark yesterday,on my homebuilt trike. Any ne can jump these distances it just depends on how high you are.

 

The farthest I have jumped is around 45 feet on a 200x. Blew the rear shock though. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

How did you blow the shock, what happened to it.
