Just a FYI note.

I had noticed a metallic ticking noise coming from the right side of the ATV but didn't know what it was. Thought it was internal so I was stressing. If anybody hears this noise look here first........there is a spring on the rt side that clips to part of the exhaust and the frame. The spring just vibrates in place and that was the source of the problem. Just wanted you guys to know.

Got my 27" Bi/Tri claws on....man, these are bad tires!!! THese things eat mud up (except when I went too deep in some muck and they became slicks). Anyway, the honda guys that I ride with are jealous again and I embarrassed the Grizzly. Funny thing, he's snorkeled and I'm not. We hit a deep water hole on my friends property and I was in it and through (lots of wheel spin and floating), the Grizz went 2 feet and died!! ONe thing I am jealous about though is on trail maintenance seems so much easier on the other bikes than mine. Spark plugs for instance!!

Thanks for the info..I will keep that in mind...seeing as I own one of these beasts and it is making just the niose you are describing..I figured it was something simple..didnt sound internal. I've just accepted the fact that polaris ATVs are just noisy. My 03' scrambler 500 is noisy too. The recoil starter makes some rattling noises as did my 00 sportsman 500. Never any troubles..
