z400 engine work?

i wanna to something to the piston on my 2004 z400. I already have a k&n intake, jet kit, hotcams intake, and a ct racing full exhaust, and i wanna know what can i do to get the best power gain for no more that $500 to the piston, crank, or whatever.Thanks

an fcr40 will give you a good power gain you can get one for $350 from service honda. and i would get a rev box for $120 and then get a drz base gasket to up your compression. that would be the best way to spend $500 IMO.

are you thinking of just a piston or wanting to bore to a bigger size
but once you change the piston to a larger one or higher compresson you WILL have to rejet the motor
I have a JE piston, works well for me. had it bored with no sleeve

There are a bunch of rev limiters on ebay that go for around $100-120. All they do is raise the limit, however. I would highly suggest getting a Dyna or a Vortex with your modded engine...you've got a few horses still left in that thing. With the different timing curves at the flip of a switch, its a real bonus.
Just figure...you have spent all that money building a sweet quad...whats $200 extra bucks in the whole scheme of things??...plus the reliablity of these well known companies over smaller ones who may not back their product as much.
