I have been talking to several dealers in my area on the topic of the loud crunch and pop noise coming from the rear CV joints. I have been told by all but one that they have torn the bike apart and transmission housing and found nothing wrong with them. One outfit told me they tore one apart 7 times and decided to pull the axle apart to check out the joints. They accidentally put the cage or something on in reverse and it went away. Is this sounding right in any way or is there a fix out there we don't know about? Mine is getting loud and have torn it apart many times but put back the same way as I am not sure what part they were talking about.

Any Ideas?

 

Hey I ran into the same thing it was rear axle hub bearings. There a solid outside with a two piece inside and water will get in there. Check that out. I just replaced both. 50 Bucks for a pair.....

 

Transmission! Just happend to me, had it fixed about 2 weeks ago.
