modded p650 vs stock p700

With either the holeshot module or Dyna cdi, you should be able to take him off the line...but he may catch you eventually. That is just my guess. Good luck to you!

my 650 has no cdi but the dg3, nyroc mod, 142f 145r jets, twin air, shimmed needles
my buddy has 04 twin peaks 700 stock
his will beat me everytime anywhere
very noticable power difference in all areas IMO when I ride it. I would get the 700 or even bigger
I am full throttle most of the time on the 650
On the 700 alot less throttle to do the same

I'm afraid he's going to get you.
I noticed considerable improvement on my P650 with EPI pink primary spring on top of the same mods you are doing. Better primary spring would make it a closer race at the very least. I am also considering the 4* key, but am going to wait just a little bit longer for KOD to try it with the dyna cdi.

Does the pink spring hurt the drivability in technical situations? So is more CCs the only way to keep from being smoked, short of nitrous? On the trails their will be no challenge (hes a great friend but rides like an OLD lady). Thanks guys

Another question, just with the few mods I have (ie holeshot) If I get traction (pavement) I cant keep the front end down even in 4wd high. If I were to raise the rpms at launch wouldnt that make it worse? I lost a race due to this before, at 5mph start I won every time.

The pink spring wont hurt your technical areas of riding. The 250 rpm is barely noticeable. It takes around 500 to make a noticable difference. The old saying goes, "there is no replacement for displacement". I think this holds true.
If you raise the rpms it will launch faster. More traction = faster launch.
