Default WHAT IS A GOOD RELIABLE CDI FOR THE V-FORCE

Hi guys,

What is a good reliable CDI for the VFORCE. Is dg3 any good? I did not hear good things about the Dyna...is this true. Any help is greatly appreicated.

I am also adding a K&M air filter along with a EPI Pink primary spring. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. The rest of the bike is stock

DG3 is a module that is for the Prairie it works by fooling the speed sensor. The V does not have a speed sensor so you have to buy an actual CDI. I have the pink spring and think it was a great bang for the buck. There are pros and cons on the K&N if you get one buy a outer wear for it if you ride in real dusty conditions. I went with a UNI, I have also started modding the air box to let in more air. I will be adding another snorkle soon. I have not decided to buy a CDI you can gain most the bennefit with a simple degree key. Only other bennefit is possibly more RPM on top. Most the guys I have seen mod them have not put CDIs on them. A overdirve clutch kit can provide a few more miles per hour top end. I am buying a degree key and better shocks next for mine. Warning this never ends people keep coming up with new stuff to make them faster handle better etc. Good luck

The degree key advances the timing to the Vs sweet spot. It requires you run premium gas most of them advance it 6 degrees some advance it 4 degrees. You have to remove quit a bit to get to the shaft PM me your E-mail address and I can get you a link to somewhere you can so more really good info and talk to people who have done a degree key. I intend to do one next month it looks like it is fairly involved but do able at home if you can get the tools you need and take your time. Many people have done theirs.
