I am running a pair of 22" tires on the back of my Warrior, and I am getting stuck on the swing arm skid plate too often. I was thinking about a pair of 25" or 26" Sure Trak or Bear Claws,,, witch is better for what? The Sure tracks look like they can handle some major mud, but the Bear Claws looks like it has more smaller lugs, it might be a better all around tire??? I ride on fire roads, do some hill climbs, major softball size rocks on a trail or two, and in a few spots hudge, deep, rutted, mudholes.

I use to run bear claws on my old 300 4x4, they worked really well and rode pretty nice, they were great for mud. I don't know about the surtrak tires though, never used them.

I'm with LDJ, I had the Bear Claws and thought they were a great all around tire but don't know about the Sur Traks

i have never used bear claws but i have 22" on my quadracer now. they are the only tires i have ever used so i don't really now how they compare on trails but the only time i have ever been stuck is in the snow. they really manage to hook up in the mud though. a couple of time i have gone through large puddles where the water was almost covering my front tires and i only managed to go about 4 mph with the throttle almost pinned in 1st gear. muddy water was flying 10 feet in the air behind me. the puddles were on trails so it was all mud at the bottom of the puddle. i didn't get stuck and an lt250r is exactly what you would normally take through deep mud. basicly sur-tracs are able to handle major mud and do fine on trails although they break loose often on hardpack surfaces and don't handle hard turns very well

I think the Bearclaw is your best choice. They suit the terrain you are riding but if you go with the 25inch drop 2 teeth on the front sprocket.

I believe the Surtraks are of a softer compound. On my Y2Kodiak the Claws are holding up to some real abuse on hard pack and gravel roads. The fronts never wash out and the rears can break loose predictably. The side lugs do their job VERY well. They are 4 ply rated. With 3.8 psi they handle well and ride plush.
Never experienced the Surtraks.

I have Sur Traks on my wifes Recon, this is a real good tire. Several of our club member use them also. One note, the Sur Traks are not quite as tall as advertised.

The Sur Trak on our recon is about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch smaller than the stock 22" tire that came on the quad.

I have been very happy with my Bearclaws. Great in Mud, sand and water. I bought a set of 25" from Chaparral Racing for $116 delivered to the door. Call around for pricing because I found Caparral to be the best by over $25.

Before the Super Swamper, the Bearclaw was the best mud tire made. The Super Swamper is awsome but the ride is ROUGH!
