Road a Brute Force yesterday
#1
I got to spend a few hours on my dad's new Brute force yesterday. It deffinantly surprised me with its extra power over my Twin peaks I had not noticed much difference between my P650 and my Twin peaks. the STP700 will beat the old P650 but not by much. The brute just smoked me, I will say I do agree with the general annalysis buy dirt wheels it does push hard in the turns and is hard to slide and play around on. However I will never say anything has to much power just adjust the position of your right thumb to suit the conditions and the capabilities of what you are riding. The styling is finaly groing on me a little bit but in general I still prefer the overal performance and handeling of my Twin Peaks, I just cant see giving up my ability to slide the rearend around and general sporty feal of the P700/twin peaks. If I ever buy another IRS bike I will have to look hard at the V2 Cat for 2005 good styling for 05 and still has the kawi twin in the 650 version along with the awsome wheel travel The cats are known for. If or when Kawi drops that new 750 motor in the prarrie I will be the first in line for one.

CC,
I got my new BF last Monday. I only have about 120 miles on it now, The power is awesome, and believe it or not the power keeps getting better the more the engine is broken in. I traded in my 04 700 Sportsman on it. These two machines are night and day as far as power is concerned. The handling on the BF is better than the SP and the ride is about the same. Steering effort is much easier on the BF, mainly IMO because your not steering the entire strut housing. So far I love this bike. I will try and widen it up a bit with a set of ATR's on C-series as soon as more funds become available. I here this is the hot set-up. I think Nyroc is running these on his and said it improves the handling.
