the TRX 300 is one of the toughest, longest lasting, reliable machines Honda has ever built, you cant go wrong unless the previous owner has royaly messed it up, id say go for it... later

Ditto, what BigDog had to say. Sounds like a deal!

I wish it were closer to me I would talk you out of buying it, yes it would be in my fleet. The 300 is a great machine, trail riding and some sand. Not a fast or high jumper. Unless it is really hammered i don't think you regret it. We have 2 a 2x4 & 4x4, both '88's, love 'em

OK guys I need your help,

My dad and I might be getting a 300 4x4 also but are the older ones good enough or do you suggest a newer one???, we think something around a 1992-1995 would be good but if the earlier models are not different we could look at something like a 1990 for a lower price. What do you suggest?

$1000 for a 300 sounds awsome, go for it at that price.

Did the 89's have that funny front end with the front shocks that sit at about a 45 degree angle to the rear and the whole front end that pivoted up and down with no actual independant front wheel travel? Also aren't they the ones that had the $300 electric fuel pump? If it has that type of front end those things are bullet proof, but they ride like a wagon on rough road.

you might be thinking of the 350? minehunter?

300 4x4....older ones are good, milage can creep up on em.....ie diffs, notlonger limited slip

generally tuff, hard to kill, providing they were looked after

i had a '90 model, i spent a lot of money on it, but it was worked hard,

they are a tuff bike, but adventually anything will cost ya money

try and get a latter one if possible

Howdy Neighbor: The 300's have a high mounted fuel tank, no fuel pump is needed. The trx350, & the trx350 foreman have a low tank and the little spendy fuel pump. The first Foreman was 1987. Ride often ride safe. Les

i have a 94 300 4x4 and it is a great bike. excellent durability and reliability. like the others said it is no speedster or jumper. great for just riding around or chores. i needed more speed so i have a 400ex also. i ride everyday and the only problems i have had is replace tires, bearings, and brake pads. but remember i ride it every day and i ride pretty hard. these are really tough machines. i don't think you will be upset with this.
