Whats more reliable Honda or yamaha. Be honest just dont anwser unless you have had both brands.

I love Yamaha's, but the fact is Honda's are more reliable. Honda puts more care into thier machines. it doesn't neccesarily mean they will last longer but they are definetely built better.

i have not owned both but in my 1st cusin had a yamaha and i had a honda and he would put at least double what i put into mine b/c of stuff breakin...

Even if they were equally reliable, Honda would still win in the cost of factory replacement parts. For example, checkout the price for a tie-rod between a Raptor and a 400ex. Better yet, checkout a full set of a-arms (upper and lower including all new seals, shafts, etc). I doubt you can find a single part for a Yamaha that lists for less than a Honda - maybe the headlight assembly. This is kind of pricey on a 400ex.

Never had the slightest problem with any of my Hondas or Suzukis, except a short in the headlight of the 400EX.

On the Blaster, EVERY WELD ON THE SWINGARM CRACKED! The Warrior had a sizable pile of metal shavings in the oil filter, every time I changed it.
