Default Just got New Raptor. Need advice

Got a 660 SE. Started breaking it in yesterday. Drove it for about 2.5 hours. Pretty happy w/ the quad so far. A lot of fun to drive. The quad is a lot better looking in person compared to the Pictures on their website. Something else that I noticed about the Special Edition is the Headlights, they have a "blue tint" When the other 05 models dont. I was not aware of this till I got it.

I have a question about my first Oil Change. Yamaha doesnt call for the first maint until after 20 hours. Is it safe to continue breaking in my raptor up to 20 hours w/o making the first oil change? or should i change it somewhere in the middle?

Some people have told me it isnt important to change it until their recommended time, just wanted to know if I am getting misinformation or not.

Thanks

Its cheap insurance during the most important time in that engines life to have clean oil. I would change the oil and filter around 10 hours. Good luck with a very fun ride.

I would change oil and filter at about 10 hours. Break it in easy and you will have many years of fun.
