Default Raptor Power After Breakin.?!?!

Should there be much of a power gain after a raptor is broken in vs before it is broken in ?!

yes and no, because you will not notice it much. Breaking it in you are slowly gaining power all of the time until when it is broken in fully.

Your compression will jump because the rings are starting to seat. Did you do a compression check before the break in? If you did then check it again after and see how much it has increased. With compression comes power.

i have not done a check. I have ridden it for ~2.5 hours and gonna ride it for at least an hour tonight. I wonder if the jump will be noticable, or is it just a long slow jump?!

It's not going to be somthing that you will really notice. When I rebuilt my blaster, I took a compression test before the break in and it was around 115. I was a little concerned but after putting a tank of gas in it, it came up to about 160, which is right where I wanted it. You might notice things like easier starting. It might be a little harder to kick over, but you won't notice that either.

It's a good idea to do a compression check before you start up a new motor. There are alot of opinions as to how long is a good break in time, some say a hour, some say 2, and some don't even do it at all. The best way to know is to keep doing checks. When your compression stops rising, then you'll know it's done.

Ya, I like it..got 3.5 hours on it...still doing that breakin thing. Rode it about an hour last night and it got dark so i put it up. I gotta wash it when i get off work, then i can take some pics.

Any requested type of pictures? I plan on filling my camera and making a photo album w/ my free image hosting site also. If all goes as planned i will have some images up tomorrow.

I will try for some quality pics.

Get some pics of what the camo really looks like. It's kinda hard to see on the site.
