I think your way of base here.
All Yamahas are not made in the USA.
They are made in Japan. The same as Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki. They are then partly assembled, crated and shipped, to other countries where they are finally bolted together.
Why do you think they use metric measurement in all their parts and manuals?

Well... if you read Yamahas WEBSITE and do some digging you will find this "MADE IN Newnan, GA, USA"
"1980
The new Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, corporate office was opened in Cypress, California."
"1986
Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation of America was founded in Newnan, Georgia. "

Yamaha acquires the G3 boat company.
At the Newnan, Georgia, manufacturing facility, the first ATV (the BearTracker) rolls off the assembly line.
Yamaha opens southeastern offices in Kennesaw, Georgia."
Read there site. before you make comments... since then i believe and at there other site in Califonia, they product their ATVs for USA, and Canada.
Other products are still made in Japan... but i believe most of the ATVS are made in the USA!
