Anyone own the new '05's (500 or 650)

Going to look at one of the new Cats today. It's now down to one of these or the Twin Peaks. I was just wondering if anyone has purchased one of the new ones yet and what they thought of it. I tried a Brute Force and it felt too tippy for me. Other than that, it was quite a machine.

Just picked up my 500 AC last week. I haven't had much of a chance to wring it out yet but did manage to put @ 30 mi. of desert rock crawling on it. So far, it's been a blast to ride. The front locker is the only way to go if you'll be doing any serious stuff.

I just picked up my 2005 650 V2 on Sunday. I only have 10 km on it, but so far I'm extremely satisfied with the power, suspension and stability. I'll have a better idea after this weekend.
Took the racks and fenders off last night to check out the vents and stuff. Looks like a newly designed secondary air box from CAT, wonder how it will hold up in deep water, I'm going to give her a try.
Other than adding a few tie raps and dielectric grease to all the plugs, the bike looks good to go right out of the box.

I put 250 km on my bike this weekend. I'm really impressed with it so far especially the power and the suspension and handling. Went in some deep mud and water and no problems. No comparison to my old AC 500 STD. Also impressed with the stock tires, I did'nt think I would like them, but all in all not bad. Had a chance to try an 04 650 V2 and they don't feel the same at all. Two completely different bikes, 05 has better handling than the 04.
Had a Twin Peaks and a Brute Force also riding with me. Also impressive bikes, hard to say wich one was on top.
Twin Peaks has a rough ride but lots of power and does handle ok.
Brute Force has tons of power but seemed hard to handle, hard to keep on the trail, very light and narrow for that kind of power.
I definitly don't regret sticking with AC.
