can you smoke atv tires?
#1
i was strolling thru my new atv mag and saw some guy won a race and was doing a burnout on the top of a trailor (with a good amount of smoke) im used to cars (obviously more traction/weight) with TONS of smoke....
i was thinking of studding my ohtsus for the ice, but thought i might try a burnout first. (not totally roast them to nothing...and i wont even gonna try if they wont smoke)
I have seen burnouts (mainly ds') in a few videos...they leave black marks, but dont really smoke.
anybody know? i have always had this odd desire to smoke tires...
i did this last night with a brushless (electric) radio control car.... but it has a very soft rubber compound. (but then again cars have pretty hard compounds...so is it soft or hard that gives the best/most smoke?)

we raced 1/8 scale gas buggies back when, and when a set of tires were worn we would wet the black top and do 4 wheel spins smoken the hides on all 4 tires until the car would flip!!! it was alot of fun until i realized with the $$$$ invested in r/c cars we could buy quads and actually ride them around!!! p.s i still have the gas buggies hanging around some where? i miss the smell of nitro mixed with oil.

I got my bantits smokin pretty good last year while waiting to cross a road. I had to lean way forward to keep the rears from pushing the fronts. It kind of like my vette though. Every second of a burnout is a dollars worth of tread. LOL
