ok, first things first
thanks for all the help mickey on your product.
also thanks to dale at dalton for his help and advive.

plenty of power, but it is popping on both low idle and deceleration
i did your top air box mod mickey and installed the 185-190 kehin jets, 4 th clip on dj-needles. and stock idle jets, k&n filter, yoshie duals
i had already cut the baffle out and i am running the DG snorkel
i have played with the fuel screws some, but mayby not enough.
my elavation here in N.C is 700 feet.

well i will keep adjusting and checking plugs

any advice or help from anyone is apreciated.

From all the feedback I've read on the forum
You should try Larger Pilot Jets. Mine ran better from going to a size 42
and I Just added the items in my signature block

I would check for vacuum leaks, particularly around your manifold to carb connection. I had the same exact problem after doing some tuning. It was hard to see, but I hadn't put the carbs completely into the manifolds. They were just a hair off, but that's all it took.

With your 800 kit, did you install yourself, or have it done? Is the power improvement substantial? And how is ridability?

I use my 700 for everything from duning to rough terrain to pushing a sprint car at the track. Anything I should be concerned about? Does it overheat...

Any info would be great

Thanks!

crashdog, you need to drill out the pilot jets, I went five drill bit sizes bigger which is a little to much, probably at least two sizes, start there and work up, my mixture screws are all the way in and then one half a turn out.

rich,
i had a local shop do all my work
great improvments overall, didnt loose any reliabilty i feel
i got the chance to race a modified kfx400,440ex modified, and a raptor last weekend and i beet ALL.
before the 400 and 440 were beeting me. the raptor was new to the bunch and was for sure he was going to win and it was priceless to here him eat crow.
as far as the heating goes we were in some tight woods and the light never came on, but when we got in a mans farm that we ride through real slow at idle almost the light came on for like 15 seconds, once i got up some speed for some air flow it went back out.

and all this good news and i still have not got it finned tuned yet.

Did you synch the carbs? That's often forgotten/ignored. Makes a difference. I put a new top end on my 650 which was bad from the factory and it ran like kaka until I synched the carbs.... they were WAY out of sych...
