How do I adjust the rear shock on my 300EX?? The front is real easy and has themhole to put the tool in while the rear has nothing like that. Is there a trick to this?? thanks

OK, it's been a while since I owned a 300, but doesn't it have a collar that you turn, just like the front??? Or is it threaded??? I have a collection of about a dozen shock wrenches. I have never found any one that works perfectly with every bike.

Yes, it will be easier if you put the frame up on a crate, and unload the weight from the rear wheels. Rear shocks are a pain! At times, I have used a large screwdriver, and pried against something. And, in on position one shock adjustment wrench will work, and in another position it will have to be another one.

I use a flat head screwdriver and a hammer.

I unbolted mine and did it on the bench. It only has 2 bolts holding it in and it is tight up in by the air box.
