Check out :

HPD

HSP

Those are the ones that most everybody uses. As far as changing them.....It's a snap!

Very easy to install. The secondary clutch can be a little tricky the first time. But clutching combos are endless. it all depends on what YOU want to machine to do, and how you want it to do it.

Mr Big Bad Scrambler and anyone else who cares -

Here's what I'm looking to do. I'm a big guy... 6' 2" - 320 lbs ... I ride a lot of mx type tracks with my friends.... my friends ride mx bikes and sport 3 wheelers (predator, yfx450, etc.) Due to my size, those bikes don't suit me. But, I love my Scrambler. I've been riding it for 3 plus years and think it's time to beef it up a bit. So, I'm looking for more bottom end power to help me scoot around the mx tracks (tight tracks). So, based on that information, what do you think? I appreciate any insight you can offer.

High Performance Designs(HPD) Clutch Page

Rick Ritter Cycle Clutching(RCR)

Hot Seat Performane(HSP) Clutching

I don't know heelclicker's homepage, so that is all I can help you with.

There are 2 exhaust systems that I would recommend. One being the HPD Powermaxx if you want a full system, the other being the White Bros E-Series if you want a slip-on. For the clutching, you have many options. You can buy a complewte kit, put one together yourself, or give Rick Ritter @ RCR a call and have him put one together for you. I have the HPD Aggressive clutch kit with a few modifications of my own to it. It engages at around 2200RPM and works very well in the woods. If you are just looking for a higher engagement, then give the Polaris White primary spring a try. That and some 55g clutch weights from a stock 400 scrambler or sport will make a nice improvement. Also, an HPD violet secondary spring set on the 2-2 position will help a lot too. You will lose a little top end with that setting (2-2), but gain a lot more in the mid range. Or, like I said, just give Rick a call. He will set you up with exactly what you need. He really knows these machines and is AWSOME to deal with. He will take the time to answer ALL of your questions and walk you through the set-up

If you want great clutch peformance you need to go the route I took.It is a little pricey but well worth it.Go with the TEAM roller secondary a green or yellow polaris primary spring and any pipe that you like the looks of.Then put on a HPD chain tensioner. On the TEAM secondary the best place to get it is HPD the do some work to them where you can tune them better.Pluss when you order it talk to them and tell them what you want out of it and they will set you up.
