Hey all just wondering i find the ds bars very low for me and was thinking of getting renthal bars atv bend off alba with the alba mount that raises it an inch or so what do you all think of this set up and is anyone running different bars on there ds? if so how do u like them

 

the Renthals on my ds are a 250r/400ex bend, I got them used on e-bay. they are much higher than the stock bars, and I like them a lot better, much more comfortable. I didn't need another mount for them.

 

just wondering if you had to change out the cables or brake lines to make the higher bars work? or is there enough slack in the stock ones.

 

I've run that combo for 3 years with no prob.

 

plenty of slack in the stock cables...

 

i run the cr high bend and when i stand up its perfect im 6' tall. also i have the adapter from alba. and it came with an orange bar pad[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

ya, plenty of slack.

 

I like my Renthals. I used the stock clamps and extended the stock steering stem 1". No cable problems.

 

I went with the Pro Taper CI HI 1 1/8 bars with a trailtech billet riser and it look and rides grate

 

I run the riser and 400ex bends on all three of my 650s. I really like them and no problems with cable lengths.
