dumb question

Default dumb question

how do you tighten the chain on a 2002 ds650 baja and pretend your telling this to a 3 year old im not to good with this stuff thanks for your help guys [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

and also again to a 3 year old how do i tighen my axle nut?

rykid to tighten the chain you line up the hole in the sproket star that hold your spoket with the hole in the carriar hub with a punch & rotat the the alxe front or back to tighten the chain. I'm sure someone will chime in with better directions.

i just did mine, just like country joeglass said, u loosen the two bolts on the very back of your swing-arm, and depending on what year your atv is u should have a tool in your tool bag to stick accross.once u get out there and look at it , u will figure it out .....just make sure u dont tighten it to much[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

got it guys thanks but how do i tighten the axle nut now?

Default dumb question

if yer referring to the axle nut that holds the hub in place; you have to have a fairly large crescent wrench. Have someone stand on the rear brake pedal while you tighten the nut. This will keep the axle from rotating while you tighten. Then slip the cotter pin through the tiny hole located in the threaded part of the axle (front of the nut).
