i have a yamaha tri moto 175 w a 125CC engine. When it runs at 50:1 there is so much blue smoke which i know is not normal? Does any1 know what my problem is?

Is it burning some oil from the crankcase because of a bad seal? i have no idea

any suggestions would be great

mike

wait a minute, do you have a 125 two stroke engine on that thing?or is it a newer engine out of another quad? cause i don't remember yamaha making a 125 cc two stroke 3 wheeler, or four wheeler for that matter. are u sure ur not mixing gas and oil in a four stroke? that would cause blue smoke. i'm not saying u don't know what u have, but it seems odd u have a 125 two stroke in that thing. please respond and tell me what u have so i know what u are talking about, cause i am confused right now.

im sure its not a 4 stroke...had the cylinder off and rebuilt it. I beleive yamaha made a 125 cc 2 stroke engine in the early 80's but it had no shocks (it is a yamaha engine). I have the 175 cc body but the guy i bought it from told me it was a 175CC enine but being the idiot that i am i didnt find out he was full of BS till i got it home.

I mix the gas 50:1 and when i start it up there is blue smoke for as far as the eye can see. The tansmittion oil does go down a little but not very much. I was just wondering if there was a seal in the bottom end that needs to be replaced. also i fill it up right to the top of the oil hole (for the transmittion) would this be 2 much?

I do plan on making it a 175 CC next year but in the mean time i would just like to get this running without leaving a trail of blue behind me

Any help would be greatly appreciated
