Stock DS endcap ????

I've got a really sweet mod for the guys that don't wanna shell out a bunch of dough for a slip on. I just cut the 2 exit pipes out of the stock endcap and used my porting tool to gring out a nicely shaped oval, and then inserted a $9.00 Stainless Exhaust tip that i got from the local autopart store. The end of it is even rolled for a really nice look. I'm taking it to my buds shop to get tigged' up. I'll post a pic of it so you guys can tell me what you think. I mean, for $19.00 i could not help but to try it out.

I asked the guys at HPR and he said if it was just the endcap, i could leave it alone and it wouldn't be lean. But i could go to a 170-175 and i would notice the torque would hit a little harder. Thats what he told me. Those guys seem to know there stuff to, very nice guy.

AllRed, your endcap mod looks good . How loud is it, and could you feel any difference after the mod?

Thanks, i thought it came out pretty sweet. I can defintely feel the improvement from idle to the midrange. Mostly right off idle, it really comes up quick down low now. I think the topend will improve a little once i put the 170main jet in it. As for how loud it is, there's only one DS that i've been around that had a pipe on it, and it was a BigGun. It's not that loud, but it's definately alot louder than it was. Alot! But it sounds sweet. I like it. Definately worth less than $20.00.
