New 2 this site n i saw a few other posts tellin about top speed and handlin n whut not of these 2 fourwheelers but i was just wonderin whut would go faster top speed with mods nad get ther faster i now that the raptor stock goes ne wher from 75-78 stock depending on the rider and the yfz 450 goes ne wher from 70-73 stock depending on the rider my yfz 450 goes ne wher from 90-95 depending on who rides it me or my son and gets from 0-47 inbetween telephone poles but i dont kno 2 much about the raptorsand the capabilities i kno that my yfz is set up for racing but whut would b better for trails a raptor or a yfz????

 

Your YFZ doesn't go 90-95 period.

The YFZ and Rappy make very similar HP numbers when piped, filter, and jetted properly. They will both be anywhere from 45-50 HP. The power on them is completly different though, you'd have to ride them both and see. In terms of both modded and racing it will be totally dependent on weight and rider skill but it seems the Rappys pull a little faster on the top end. Most of the time the YFZ wins, but thats because it weighs so much less but I wouldn't doubt that the snappier power helps. I've seen the wins go both ways.

The Rappy suspension is much softer and the seat is easier to sit on for long periods, I don't get near as wore out riding the Rappy. The YFZ just takes some extra muscle and stamina but I think it's more fun.

My yfz`s seat kills my *** in harescrambles will definitely be looking for some seat options over this coming winter .
Raptor's are definitely more comfortable but a little on the tippy side but that can be fixed pretty easy with some mods.

Your choice though! They are both awesome quads in my opinion.
