I was in a poker run in the mountains and everyone was like ahhh man yamaha this and yamaha that. everybody had them. i let one guy ride my 450r and he said it was nice but this yfz he rode was faster ?? i didnt even tell him i had the hrc kit. now with the cam mod the yamaha may be a lil faster but a stock yfz vs. my hrc 450r is going to get spanked in a straight line
i mean dont get me wrong the yfz is an ok quad and sure its fast but when are people going to wake up and realize that the honda is the better machine. its great that they are fast but they have so many problems that i would have never even considered a yamaha as a choice. even if they y is a great bike all of their other quads are so unreliable that alot of people are going to look at that and go no way.
when is yamaha going to look at honda and say "wow thats where our quality level needs to be"
maybe if yamah does this they can put out a fast quad that is reliable too

 

because yamahas are great machines , so are honda, suzuki, kawaski, ect. Iam selling my yamaha and hoping to buy a honda at the moment. But I still think its a great machine I just am looking for a 4x4 and want had great experance w/ my last honda, so iam going that route.

 

mabye because honda doesnt upgrade ther bikes and yamaha deos i mean the 400ex needs reverse i know people that have had good and bad with both it all depends on matancie the way you ride and treat the bike. There both very close in reliableity and most people liekt he reverse of yamaha. Plus honda is soo dam expensive

Years ago Honda was the best. I know i had a s!ty yamaha tri-z quad that thing was so unreliable. But i have to say everyone is catchig up. But i do love hondas and suzuki's best (altough thoes yfz are nice machines). I guess i'm kinda neutral but i would pick a honda over a yamaha.
