2000 sportsman 500 coolant overflow
#1
My 200 Sportsman 500 when getting up to temp. but not to the point of turning on the fan will start to puke coolant into the recovery bottle. The fan switch is good and so is the thermastat also the oil is fine. it looks like there are air bubbles boiling out of the line when this is happening, I was wondering if it is possable that it is a head gasket? also I have mo moisture comming from the exhaust and I am at a stand still to repair it. any Ideas?
Thanks

about the water coming out of your exhaust buy some iso heet and put that in with your gas its about a dollar for a bottle of that... i know its not the greatest thing for your carb of what not but it will help your ATV run better i use it alot in the winter

Sorry, but those are two classic symptoms of a blown head gasket, ( or cracked head). The longer you go with out fixing it, the more damage that can happen. Check to make sure coolant isnt getting into the oil, thatll really trash the motor.

Thanks, I was almost positive it was in the head but wanted to be sure before having to tear it apart. and about my oil, it is fine the odd ting is ,is that it will only do it after warm up and the cioolant is not leaking anywere else.
Thanks Again for the advise.

EXJARHEAD, HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO MY 400 XPLORER. CHECK YOUR RADATOR CAP. COUPLE BUCKS AT AUTOMOTIVE SUPPLY STORE. THE SPRING GETS WEAK CAUSING COOLANT TO FLOW PAST THE CAP TO THE RECOVERY BOTTLE. MIGHT BE A CHEAP FIX !!
