hello i am new to this forum and new to 4strokes so i need some input, i looked at a 00 ds 650 today at the dealers he wants 3200.00 for it but i did notice that the top bearing was out on both sides of the front, the swingarm didnt have any lateral play it is missing the front fenders and the seat has a small tear in it on the seam, it wouldnt idle at first when he started it but that may be because he did not use the choke, the motor sounded fine i think no knocking or anything, but is there a way i can tell what kind if shape it is inside maybe a compression check? if so whay should the compression be on it? and where can i get another seat and front fenders and brackets? or how much are they? well thanks fellas any input is greatly appreciated[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

 

For what its worth.
There are 8 2000 DS-650s for sale on e-bay right now.
Might be worth taking a look at just to get a real world value on them.

Base model or Baja ?

 

It is the standard DS 650. I have replaced the standard wheels with Douglas wheels, and I have added the Bombardier tach. I just added a picture of it to my gallery, should be up in an hour or two.

 

And whats the low Low LOW price your willing to let this beauty go for??

 

I'm not sure about the price yet, I'd have to discuss it with the wife. But, I would probably be looking for $4200.
