Anyone running Sand Sharks?
#1
With the dune season fast approaching, I'm wondering will I be happy with them? I have a stock 2002 DS650. I know the Skat Traks will give me better bite up the hills, but will the Sand Sharks do O.K.? I als have razors up front. Thanks.

Beer,
My brother runs the Sand Sharks, they are a great all around tire and they hook up pretty well. If your looking for something to run straight up the hill or drag the haulers would be better, but for all-around dune rideing the are nice. They are pretty much just knock off's of the Sand Skate II's, which I have, the paddles on the Sharks are just a little shorter, mabye a 1/8-1/4", but they are quite a bit cheaper.
I've heard good things about the ITP Sand Stars as well.
Just my 2cents

I can not/ will not recommend the sand sharks for the ds650. I agree they are a good all around sand tire for most atv out there but the DS just has to much torque and weighs too much for the sand sharks. The Sand Sharks to appear to be similar to the Sand Skate II, but as you mentioned the paddles are smaller and they are heavier.
I have a set of Sand Sharks sitting on a shelf in my garage, I would feel guilty if I sold them to a fellow DS rider.
