I am wondering what would be the best modd without spending to much. I'm thinking either a pipe or a clutch kit. I am planning on getting them both but just want one for now. I am going to get it ported out soon if that helps the decision. I just want something that will make it pull hard and give it more kick.

 

You really need a clutch kit matched to the pipe you get to make the pipe work right.

 

Also get rid of those stock steel wheels they are heavy. See if you can find some stock Scambler ones they were aluminum on some of the earlier years (98 to 00) might be cheaper than new aftermarket. Yes the bolt pattern is the same. Reducing weight especially rotating weight will help a lot with performance. HTH

 

dont think scrammy wheels were aluminum cuz our 99 has steal wheels

no i bought it new,from the dealer..my buddies 02 scrammy 500 also came with aluminum wheels from the same dealer..

 

are they the ones in ur pics??

 

no the ones in my pic are douglas 190's..

 

if u already had aluminum rims why would u get new ones? cracked, dented?
