Default 2001 500H.O. speedomter problem

I have done a search for this but did not find someone haveing the same problem. My speedo reads all the time when the key is on. I either have the fastest utilty quad on the earth or something is screwed up. The speedo will show anywhere from 0-60mph while sitting still. The whole time, the odometer runs. Everything else seems to work ok except the reverse rev limiter. When I put it in reverse it will kill the motor. The only way to back up is to have the override button pushed in before putting it in reverse, then it works like normal. I did have my battery run dead, right before all this started. But I've recharged the battery and have rode it for a few days now and it still has not changed the speedo problem. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!!

The clusters are known to be bad. My step father has replaced his 3 times on his 00 sp500.
