Engine will start, but it will not rev up??

My buddy mike has 125 trimoto.... He was riding along a hill and he ran into a small pothole or hole. whatever you wanna call it and the machine ended up flipping sideways.
Now, he rode it home fine...let it sit. The next day went to fire it up, and it started, idoled good, but when you wanted to rev it up a bit or even touched the throttle it just dies out.
The engine is a 125cc 2 smoke, jus incase anyone is wondering.\
Thx in advance, Sean

I would check the gas/premix but more than likely that is not the culprit. Sounds like a stuck float or something in the carb since it was laid over. I would add some premix to the bike and open the float valve and let some run through then cut the gas off and let it stop flowing. Then close the float valve and tap on the carb lightly with a hammer or other precise whacking device, turn the gas back on and lean it over untill you see premix out of the carb overflow tube. Start it up and see what you get.
Also check the air flow into the carb and out. Make sure the muffler isnt restricting airflow out by have grass or mud in the tip if he laid it over. This happened to me once in the back yard when i looped out a wheelie and got some crap in the end of the exhaust. It would start and idle but when i got on the throttle it would sputter out and die.
