who needs reverse???

hehe...

But seriously... It depends on what kind of trail you ride... If its rocky, I would say the plushy raptor suspension is better suited. I took my yfz up a rocky terrain once, and damm near got thrown off a few times cause the suspension was soo stiff (AND that was even after being adjusted to be softer)

But if you are a skilled rider, hell a Raptor 50 would be a good trail quad... It depends on how good a rider you are, and how badly you need reverse...

I think the raptor has much better ergonomics which will make it more comfortable for a long trail ride.

Raptor has better low end torque for tractoring over stuff. You have to spool up the 450 a little. The rap is definately a better trail bike...IMO.

My little sister's raptor 80 is a helluva lot of fun in the trails. So is my 1980 atc 185. I think I have more fun on those and my prairie than I do on my rap.

deffinatly the YFZ is better for the trails but not "better". the raptor has the more comfortable things such as the seat and the set up, and the reverse thing but seriously who needs that reverse...and i have a YFZ450 for sale if interested, PM me.

So other than a sales pitch to sell your Yfz, you have no real reason why a yfz is a good trail quad?

sure if you like shifting every 2 seconds and have a personal massage therapist for your back and legs

that is 1 uncomfortable quad to ride for leisure, but 1 helluva quad for racing

I love my yfz, but I do miss reverse on the trails. I tend to hit the bumps, jumps and curves fast, which the yfz is great for. I however, don't like riding it for long periods of time (trail riding) and tend to get into situations that I need to back out of. The yfz is a great race quad that definitely "good" on trails, but missing something to be Grrrrrrreat.
