ok still trying to get it right, now when the lid is off the air box with a 157.5, gytr and uni filter, it runs lean. When I put the lid back on it goes bluu... blu... blu... blub like umm when you put on the gas it cuts out. Hard to explain. The plug gets black tho. Like its rich. So this is really getting annoying. I would like to run it with the lid on (for water purposes) and off in the sand. So do you think there is a middle jet that would work? Maybe a little lean with the lid off, and just a tad rich or just right with the lid on? Thanks guys!

 

The difference is too extreme to find a jet arrangement that works for both. The airbox on a Rap is very restrictive.

I cut a big hole in my lid. The performance is now about the same with lid off or on. The box is mostly enclosed. I think it will be OK in wet conditions but not deep water.

That is the middle ground I found.
