well fellas i just got back from picking up my 2002 ds 650 that i won on ebay for 3300.00, it was a 436 mile round trip but well worth it, i have been driving it around for about 2 hrs and the only things i noticed were, the **** to pull the choke is stuck out half way, i couldnt get it pushed in all the way, the front tie rods are bad and the swingarm needs bushings or bearings where it attatches to the frame, how much do the bearings cost and how hard are they to put in? man this thing rocks ill post some pics tomorrow of my girl thanks fellas

they are just wore, do you have any idea if it is as difficult to do the swingarm bearings on this as they are on a 250r, i had a 88 250r and couldnt get the swingarm bolt out and the bearings, they were rusted in damn things

no I havent did the swingarms bearings. or tie rod ends sorry. some others here have and hopfully chime in, BTW I had a 88 250r and couldnt get that bolt out eather. luckly I was just wanting to lube it and didnt need to change the bearings.
I do think the bolts might be tough though. I put a14t front sprocket on and unless I wanted the chain to tear up the motormount nut and bolt I need to turn it around. well to put it nicely it was a Bitch I never did get the nut off I broke three ratchets and the socket got stuck on the nut so I left it. Now I got a chrome chain slide. what ever works

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE BEARINGS IN THE AXEL CARRIER FOR THE SWINGARM OR ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT BEARINGS WHERE THE SWINGARM MEETS THE FRAME BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE THERE. JUST A AXEL AND SOME RUBBER BUSHINGS AND GREASE. THE BEARINGS ARE A PAIN IN THE *** TO GET OUT OF THE CARRIER. I HAVE A MANUEL ON DISC AND I CAN SEND YOU SOME INFO VIA E-MAIL JUST LIST YOU E-MAIL. HOPE I CAN HELP. I JUST TOOK EVERYTHING APART FOR POWDER COATING SO I FEEL YOUR PAIN
