Welcome to the forums bubba.
I enjoy the raptor for its plush ride and torquey low-end grunt. If you are planning on doing all-around riding and want a quad with plenty of muscle, the 660 is probably exactly what you are looking for. Just keep in mind that modifications will be needed to turn it into a specialty quad for any kind of racing etc...
As far as the exhaust, I would recommend breaking it in stock and then beginning the modifications you would like to add. Especially if this is your first quad. (Don't know)
Good Luck.

I would just leave the exhaust stock and pull the baffle out and re-jet. One of the 1st mod I would get is a wider rear axle. If you can find a stock banshee axle for cheap they will fit. I would get rid of the stock air filter set up and get a K&N proflow kit. Better rear tires, swing arm skid
